The AeroBalancer measurement system is the best solution when an aerodynamic imbalance cannot be excluded or you even suspect one. The system is easy and comfortable to operate so that also people not familiar in this special field of work get aquainted with its use in very short time.

The device savely determines mass- and aerodynamic imbalances and calculates everything necessary to balance your wind turbines in the most efficient way.

It employs the balancing in one-plane method. After a three step measurement procedure the software calculates the exact magnitude and orientation of both mass- and aerodynamic imbalances. The first measurement will be taken in the original state of the WEC. The second measurement will be taken after a well defined test-weight as been applied to one of the rotorblades. And at last after a well defined test-pitch of one rotorblade the third measurement will be taken.
Having analysed these measurements the software then displays the results in a clear vector-plot in which also precise counter measures for any possible imbalance are shown. That includes the amounts and split-positions of possible counterweights. As well as amounts and split-positions of possible counterpitches regarding the fixed places of the rotorblades. Moreover for each measurement several FFTs are performed and frequency- as well as order-spectra are calculated and displayed in an interactive and zoomable diagram.
Thus makes it possible to determine natural frequencies of the WEC tower, rotorblades and other machine parts with an accuracy better than 1 mHz and also to study even slight changes.

If there is a significant aerodynamic imbalance it will not only be detected but also exactly quantified and displayed. Now the pitch-angles of the rotorblades can be changed goal-oriented so that the aerodynamic imbalance is minimised. A wasteful and potentially insufficient photometric pitch-angle analysis gets unnecessary for pitch-controlled wind turbines.
