WindBalancer

The WindBalancer measurement system is a very good choice if the critical vibrations are solely caused by a mass imbalance.
It also employs the balancing in one-plane method. After a two step measurement procedure the software calculates the exact magnitude and orientation of a possible mass imbalances and warns you if indications for an aerodynamic imbalance are found. In the case an aerodynamic imbalance is detected first this has to be removed e.g. by using the AeroBalancer-system, by correcting the blade pitch-angles or repairing possible blade defects, afterwards the mass imbalance can be compensated.
Having analysed these measurements the software displays the results in a clear vector-plot in which also precise counter measures for a possible imbalance are shown. That includes the amounts and split-positions of the counterweights necessary to compensate the imbalance.
Moreover for each measurement several FFTs are performed and frequency- as well as order-spectra are calculated and displayed in an interactive and zoomable diagram. Thus makes it possible to determine natural frequencies of the WEC tower, rotorblades and other machine parts with an accuracy better than 1 mHz and even to study very slight changes.
